OPS Data Base Analyst

Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a highly responsible and professional position in the HIV/AIDS Section, Surveillance Program. This position requires the ability to accurately enter data into the HIV/AIDS morbidity registry and provide technical assistance to the system's end users. Applicant should possess excellent data entry skills to meet specified deadlines. Experience with confidential database systems preferred.
Manages area secure folders and examines patient documents to verify conformance with established reporting procedures.
Validates data for errors and anomalies. Enters patient data into the HIV/AIDS case registry to meet established deadlines for case management. Enters all information entirely and accurately, following the current standards for data processing and the established protocols and procedures.
Assures assigned sites are apprised of revisions to data entry processes, standards, and procedures. Provide technical support to assigned Areas as requested. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for details and changes.
Assists in training newly hired Case Managers with data entry and data validation.
Performs other duties and assistance as may be required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience working with confidential database systems.
Experience providing technical assistance.
Experience with electronic document storage systems.
Experience reviewing and editing the work of others.
Experience providing training to others.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both in writing and orally.
Ability to compare data from various sources for accuracy.
Knowledge of office automation equipment.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two (2) plus years work experience
