Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe

Progressive Ophthalmology practice in Henrico is looking to add an ophthalmic technician to their clinical team of caring professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to perform clinical work-ups to prepare the patient to see the doctor. Work-ups may include, but are not limited to:

• chief complaint
• history of present illness
• visual acuity
• ocular pressure
• slit lamp evaluation
• motility
• eye dominance
• refraction.
• Our technicians are also responsible for triaging patient calls, communicating with pharmacies and insurance companies regarding patient medication requests, assisting with in-office procedures and diagnostic testing such as OCT, Clarus, Visual Field and Topography.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
