Ophthalmic Technician/Optometric Medical Assistant

Position involves all aspects of working up patients using EMR system. Computer skills a must. Duties will include taking history, checking vision, IOPs, pupils, manual refractions, dilation, visual fields, OCTs, topography, fundus photo and IOL master/A-scan. In addition, position will involve surgery counseling (discussing preop and post op instructions).

Position requires at least 1 year medical experience (Medical Assistants welcome to apply), ability to work quickly, accurately and efficiently, ability to help clinical work flow, ability to work and prioritize tasks independently. Work hours Monday-Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-1 pm. NO weekend hours. Three weeks of vacation (first 2 years of employment). Four weeks of vacation thereafter. Salary negotiable based on experience.
