Busy multi-doctor retina practice seeking experienced Ophthalmic Technician for new doctor's clinic. We have an opening for a full-time a Ophthalmic Technician in our state of the art medical facility in Baton Rouge. With one main location, we serve Greater Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.
We are looking for motivated candidates that desire to learn in a fast-paced setting and have the ability to positively interact and help patients while providing patient education and instructions. Interested applicants should be willing to work both independently and as a member of a team, provide excellent patient care, and perform patient work-ups in a precise and efficient manner.
Responsibilities include performing basic patient work-ups, history taking and vision, checking pressures, and diagnostic testing such as OCT’s, Visual Fields, and the Lensometer. Some daytime travel required. Experience in medical background required.
Certification a plus. Ophthalmology experience and medical scribing preferred. Will train and assist in certification.
