Job description

```Responsibilities:```
- Assist ophthalmologists and optometrists in providing patient care
- Perform diagnostic tests and measurements, such as visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and visual field testing
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Administer eye drops and medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens use
- Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information

```Qualifications:```
- Previous experience working in a medical office or ophthalmology setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical billing systems and procedures
- Familiarity with ophthalmic equipment and instruments
- Ability to perform vital signs measurements accurately
- Proficiency in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding preferred

Note: This position may require occasional inhalation of airborne particles during certain procedures. Proper personal protective equipment will be provided.
