Ophthalmic Surgery Coordinator

Career: Surgical Coordinator

· No Weekends / Day Shift Only

Experience preferred, but not required. Training provided.

This is one office conveniently located in Marysville, Ohio which is right outside of Dublin Ohio. No traveling to multiple offices.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries for patients in a timely, accurate and safe manner based on the procedure, the patient's medical needs, insurance requirements and other relevant factors.
• Review pre- and post-operative instructions with patients and answer questions they may have about a particular procedure.
• Enter surgery appointments and post op appointments into the scheduling system
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, referring physicians and other members of the care team
• Adheres to patient privacy act HIPAA and confidentiality policy at all times
• Ability to educate patients on refractive, laser, and surgical procedures with the goal being to overcome patient objections
• Must be detail oriented, flexible, and have the ability to prioritize
