Thomasville Eye Center is actively seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant or Technician to join our team! You'll work alongside our ophthalmologists and optometrists as they help patients with eye disorders, eye exams, vision measurements for glasses etc. Duties will consist of greeting and assisting patients to their exam room including wheelchair patients, obtaining vitals as needed, obtaining medical history and additional patient information, learn to perform various testing for the eyes, check vision prescriptions and more. Pay is based on experience and there is room for advancement!
Applicant should be comfortable working face to face with the public in a fast paced environment and able to be on feet for lengthy periods of time. All applicants will be drug screened and have a background check. Medical Office experience is preferred but not required.
We are willing to train dependable applicants looking for a long term position with our practice. We need individuals who work well independently but are also willing to be an active team player with co-workers and providers.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience in the Medical Field is Preferred.
