Ophthalmic Assistant

North Texas EyeMD is the office of Dennis H. Goldsberry, MD, PE, FACS. We have been steadily growing for the last 14 years. We are a very customer service oriented practice and are looking for the right person to join our team for the long-term. The ability to work well with others is essential.

Ophthalmic Technician needed for a busy, patient-oriented Ophthalmology practice. Responsibilities include:

• Delivering a first impression to every patient that reflects our practice and values.
• Taking histories and performing initial workups on patients.
• Manifest refractions.
• Triaging patient phone calls and answering questions.
• Scheduling patients for surgery and obtaining insurance approvals as needed.
• Maintaining inventory of clinical supplies and contact lens trials.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Flexibility to help out where needed.

Office hours are 8:30am-5pm Mon/Wed/Thurs, 8:30am-Noon Tuesday and 8:30am-4pm Fridays.

COA, COT, or COMT certification required.
Must be able to refract and applanate.

Spanish language abilities a plus.

Hourly pay based on experience.
