Job Description
Ophthalmic Technician needed for a busy, patient-oriented Ophthalmology practice. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering a first impression to every patient that reflects our practice and values.
- Taking histories and performing initial workups on patients.
- Manifest refractions.
- Triaging patient phone calls and answering questions.
- Scheduling patients for surgery and obtaining insurance approvals as needed.
- Maintaining inventory of clinical supplies and contact lens trials.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
- Flexibility to help out where needed.
Office hours are 8:30am-5pm Mon/Wed/Thurs, 8:30am-Noon Tuesday and 8:30am-4pm Fridays.
Qualifications
COA, COT, or COMT certification required.
Must be able to refract and applanate.
Spanish language abilities a plus.
Hourly pay based on experience.
