Our latest opening is for a full-time Optometric / Ophthalmic Assistant in our Lake Jackson, Texas office.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years' experience as a technician in a vision care office. Ophthalmic office experience is a big plus. In addition, candidates should have a skill set that includes most of the following:

• Manual Refractions,
• Ability to read glasses on manual lensometer,
• Tonometry,
• Visual Fields,
• OCT,
• A-Scan,
• Topography,
• Scribing,
• Computer Skills (experience on Electronic Medical Records a plus but will train an OA with proper patient work-up skills)
• We will consider training for SOME gaps in the skillset in exchange for a person who is dynamic, reliable and has strong customer service skills.

Compensation for this position varies significantly as it is based on depth of the skillset and workplace experience.

Pay: $16.50 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
