Operator Transfer Truck

Department: Packaging & Shipping

Reports to: Packaging  Shipping                                                                                                    

Purpose of Position:

 OPERATE AND UTILIZE EQUIPMENT FOR PLANT SUPPORT AND CLEANUP. 

Primary Duties:

1.Perform all pre-shift and safety inspections of assigned equipment

2.Operate equipment for efficient plant clean up and support. 

3.Operate equipment in a safe and timely manner

4.Keep assigned piece of equipment clean and in good working condition

5.Obey all safety operating and work guidelines 

6.Perform other duties as required

Machines & Equipment Involved: Transfer truck, Bobcat, forklift, vacuum truck, water truck

Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoors, Various weather conditions 

Qualifications:

Experience:

• CDL License Class A

• Previous experience in operating machinery and equipment in an Industrial environment. 

Skills Requirements:  

Communications skills including verbal, non-verbal, listening, interpreting and understanding instructions.

Consulting effectively with associates concerning work and schedules.

Ability to work as part of a large team.

Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.

Ability to communicate effectively and to use hand and eye coordination in the operations of the equipment. 

High School Diploma or GED 

Other Required Activities:

Sitting, climbing, stooping, lifting, checking, visual inspection, hearing, listening, operation in a safe manner according to work instructions
