Teledyne Relays (a business unit of Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC), is a manufacturer of Electromechanical Relays, Solid State Relays, Power Controllers, RF COAX Switches and RF Matrix switching systems. The primary manufacturing facilities are located in the United States. We are a vertically orientated manufacturing and design company with major operations in Southern California.

Qualifications:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will regularly stand/walk/climb or balance/stoop, bend, kneel, crawl/push or pull/talk or hear; carry or lift up to 50 lbs.; frequently will need to sit, reach with hands or arms to handle parts/equipment VISION REQUIREMENTS: Be able to distinguish and identify colors, be able use close vision (20 inches plus), have 3D depth perception (ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) with the ability to adjust focus as needed WORK ENVIRONMENT: Machine-shop environment - no make-up allowed and closed toe shoes are required. Will regularly work near moving mechanical parts and have contact with moving mechanical equipment. Noise level is moderate (light traffic)

$35,090.00-$46,970.000

Responsibilities:
- Operator will utilize a plastic injection molding press and various molds to perform this function, along with various supporting equipment.
- Additionally, pneumatic presses with various lead trimming and forming dies, and a media blaster for flash removal will be used in the performance of this role.
- ESD precautions (smock, wrist, and foot straps) are always required while handling product.
- Small hand tools as well as a microscope will be used.
- Continual inspection will be performed on all parts produced to ensure compliance to specification and drawing requirements.
- Become proficient on injection molding press operation, pneumatic press/die setup and operation, and media blasting operation.
- Data entry on a computer for labor and time charging, document retrieval and production record keeping.
- Daily housekeeping. Employee must be open to cross training in different manufacturing operations. Normally receives general instructions on routine assignments and detailed instructions on new assignments.
- Acquire the job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
- Operator will eventually assist Supervisor in providing training to entry level personnel.
- Additional tasks may be assigned to support department goals.
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent GED 6 months to a year of previous production environment experience strongly preferred
- Has good eye-hand dexterity/coordination to assemble small parts, sitting and working with hand tools (tweezers, fixture, pliers) using a microscope and various other related equipment
- Must be able to wear nitrile gloves and finger cots for long periods of time
- Must have basic reading skills, clear verbal and written communication skills, intermediate arithmetic skills
- Ability to perform documentation (sign off on operation sheet) and the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions on routine assignments and detailed instructions on new assignments
- Must have basic computer skills for data entry
