Auto Warehousing Company is hiring a full-time 2nd Shift Operations Supervisor at our Toledo Ohio location. 4:30pm start of shift- Wednesday- Sunday and the shift can run 9-10 hours.

General Description
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for organizing and scheduling staff and directing the day-to-day operations of all rail and/or yard functions. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality loading of vehicles onto out-bound trains, receipt and scanning of vehicles into inventory systems, and storage/logistics of vehicles through efficient productivity of the work crews. This position coordinates the activities of all yard, and rail crews under the direction of the Terminal Manager to ensure a well-coordinated, productive operation.
Essential Duties
- Responsible for the daily scheduling of personnel in order to load, receive, store and move vehicles in a productive, cost efficient manner.
- Direct the facility's day-to-day activities
- Oversee loading operations
- Oversee vehicle movement
- Oversee receipt and scanning of vehicles into inventory system
- Assign personnel to job locations
- Train new associates, staff personnel, and temporary workers
- Ensure personnel have the support, tools and supplies needed for production
- Conduct audits and make suggestions for corrective actions as needed
- Daily communication with leads, other staff, and office personnel to determine staffing, supply and operational needs, and ensures these needs are met
- Responsible for the progressive disciplinary process in the area of counseling, warnings, and other corrective action to ensure that a productive labor climate exists
- Document performance issues and coordinate all corrective action with Terminal Manager
- Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
Additional Duties
- Ensures that all associates adhere to AWC policies and procedures.
- Responsible for safety programs in order to provide a safe, clean workplace for all personnel and within the regulations of local, state, and OSHA standards.
- Assists in the maintenance of equipment.
- Assist in the maintenance of company vehicles.
- May assist with snow removal or other property maintenance issues.
- May perform other duties from time to time at the direction of the Terminal Manager
Working Conditions
- Works inside office a part of the time
- Works outdoors to oversee outside operations
- Exposed to extreme weather conditions
- May frequently climb ladders to heights of 15 feet
- May work a variable schedule
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent supervisory skills
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Good working knowledge of the facility operations
- Good driving record
- Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission
- Ability to pass safe driving and rail safety video quizzes with 80% accuracy or higher
