Summary
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing production operations in their assigned department(s). The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for achieving weekly, monthly, and annual KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, cost. They will achieve this by working cross functionally with business partners and modelling Lief's core values. The Operations Supervisor will drive change through employee engagement, continuous improvement and developing and mentoring associates.
Responsibilities
• Executes production plan while aligning teams' goals and KPIs to meet this plan.
- Develop and mentor associates to ensure the team's KPIs are met in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Develops a cross training plan that builds flexibility and the skills necessary to achieve department goals and KPIs.
- Leads and participates in root cause problem solving activities when KPIs are not met to drive sustained improvement.
- Conducts robust quality CAPA investigations when quality standards and expectations are not met.
- Coaches and develops team on continuous improvement, kaizen, and autonomous maintenance projects.
- Proactively works cross functionally with other departments when issues arise that prevent the department from achieving goals.
- Supports change management communication plans in for major organizational and process changes.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
In accordance with applicable policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring, orienting, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising, managing and rewarding performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Work Environment:
The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate. Field conditions vary. Exposed to various raw materials, including allergens (i.e., milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nut, peanuts, wheat, soy).
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Knowledge
• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in manufacturing/production/operations management
- Lean Six Sigma or Continuous improvement certification and or experience preferred.
- cGMPS in a regulated environment.
- OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, SAP preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Work and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of TPM, particularly AM (Autonomous Maintenance) preferred.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly require to talk, hear and grasp items. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, strong fumes, loud noises, and occasionally extreme temperatures.
The employee must frequently grasp, lift and/or move items 10 pounds and occasionally grasp, lift and/or move items 33lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Additional Information
The Salary Range for this position at Lief Labs is $52,196.00-$76,000.00 Annually (USD). Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, skills, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, wellness benefits, education reimbursement program, and PTO. This position is bonus eligible.
