Role
The Paymode-X Operations Specialist on the Payment Exceptions team plays a critical role processing credit and debit returns, NOCs, reversals, debit requests, cancelled payments, and other Payment Exceptions on behalf of our Clients. This dynamic person will work with our bank partners, external Clients, and internal business associates to leverage any and all resources required to effectively and efficiently complete Payment Exceptions.
How you'll contribute:
- Develop a deep understanding of Paymode-X payment processing, funding methods, Client trends, and business needs
- Utilize your knowledge of ACH payments and Notifications of Change (NOCs) to effectively assist Clients in resolving payment processing issues
- Collaborate with team members on innovation, process improvements, and problem solving
- Utilize your organization and Excel skills to track all Client payments and ensure they are resolved to the beneficiaries within provided SLAs
- Run SQL queries to review and research payments
- Provide succinct and clear communication internally and externally while collaborating with others to resolve Client payment or banking issues
- Cross-train with other team members to provide operational support for other daily tasks and assist when needed

- Proficiency utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (preferred)
