Summary:

Advanced Technology Systems Company in Gilbert, AZ is looking for an Operations Manufacturing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the manufacturing and procurement organizations while creating a culture of accountability for cost and schedule performance and quality control. The Operations Manufacturing Manager will report to the Director of Operations and Site Management. The successful candidate will have a proven track record working with engineering to deliver integrated C5ISR Systems.

This position is responsible for managing hourly and salaried employees, and will manage inventory, kitting, and quality control in addition to manufacturing and procurement. The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in managing these functions while delivering continuous improvement. The Operations Manufacturing Manager is also responsible for developing proposal pricing for new or existing products with estimates that are in accordance with the FAR.

This position will be responsible for using the ERP system for PO and MO creation, cost, and schedule performance visibility, and maintain historical data as the basis of estimate for government proposals. The Operations Manufacturing Manager will have key interfaces with the site leadership, Engineering, Business Development, Program Management, and suppliers. This is a hands-on position.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide monthly revenue/delivery forecasts for the business

• Balance cost, schedule performance and level loading of factory

• Report metrics, performance, and plans to upper management
• Maintain and develop ERP system as required to support production and pricing
• Deliver long-term manufacturing plans to further the company’s overall growth goals
• Deliver annual departmental budgets and find ways to minimize expenses while optimizing profits
• Collaborate across departments to streamline processes, improve cashflow, and increase revenue

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Manufacturing Engineer/ Industrial Engineering, Business Degree, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience formally managing aspects of the manufacturing process
• 5+ years of experience as an Operations/ Manufacturing Manager for a site
• Experience transitioning new products into the factory and understanding the engineering NPD and NPI processes
• Experience with various manufacturing requirements for Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)
• Knowledge of general procurement and subcontract supplier management
• Experience with US Government Procurement and Acceptance
• Must be a U.S. citizen with or with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
• Knowledge of ERP – Knowledge of CostPoint a plus
• Experience in Microsoft 365

• Work is typically performed in an office setting and on the factory floor.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear, and see.
• Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds
• Must be able to read, write and speak English – Spanish is a plus
