Operations Manager, Pomona Ny

We are currently seeking to hire a Operations Manager to be based out of Pomona NY to support the surrounding areas.

The Operations Manager will plan, direct, coordinate, and manage the warehouse and transportation operations within our facilities that service our local customer base.

The key responsibilities of the Operations Manager position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Manage and direct staff and activities related to warehousing, dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles.
• Management of facility regarding profit and loss statements.
• Hire and terminate employees based on performance and business needs.
• Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper issues.
• Engage, coach and lead the regional teams.
• Collaborate with other managers and staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
• Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with government regulations, administrative, policies and safety rules, and Lean program.
• Lead and promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings and leading, developing and ensuring safety policies/processes are followed.
• Maintain ISO compliance.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree or some college in pursuit of same is preferred. High School Diploma required
• Minimum of 3 years’ previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
• Minimum of 5 years’ prior experience in the warehouse and logistics industry managing multiple facilities and teams.
• Solid knowledge of government regulations within the trucking industry (DOT) and warehousing (OSHA).
• Strong time management and coordination skills, verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking/problem resolution ability.
• Minimum of 3 years’ previous experience with profit and loss statements.
• Safety minded focus.
• Flexibility to travel to locations out of home state/location

Preferred attributes:

• Lean, ISO, Success experience highly preferred
• Warehouse Launch experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
