Our client, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee their daily manufacturing operations
Job Description:
Communicate and coordinate processes and procedures with China facility.
Plan, organize, direct, and manage all day-to-day manufacturing, quality control, procurement
and inventory control activities and staff.
Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and
maintaining current quality standards.
Fully responsible for the production output from quality, scheduling and efficiency perspectives.
Effectively manage, develop and allocate resources to produce optimal results now and in the
future.
Implement protocols in alignment with strategic initiatives.
Provide a clear sense of direction and focus to the production team.
Develop systems, standards, and processes that optimize productivity and create metrics and
performance targets to ensure effective return on assets, identification of inefficiencies, and
meeting of objectives. Take corrective actions as needed.
Develop, implement, and manage facility safety procedures and ensure complete compliance
with OSHA workplace safety requirements and policies.
Stay current with the latest production management best practices and concepts.
Manage and maximize the use of ERP system.
Fully manage inventory, to include establishment and maintenance of minimum and maximum
quantity levels.
Ensure timely ordering, processing and accurate recordkeeping of received goods.
Revamp and maintain Company document control system for all forms of documentation
including engineering drawings, quality documents, forms, customer-supplied documents,
manuals and regulatory documents using both electronic and paper methods.
Essential Skills:
Bachelors Degree in a STEM discipline.
Conversational Chinese language skills.
At least five (5) years of experience in a comparable manufacturing environment with at least
three (3) years in a supervisory or management role.
Familiarity with standard industry equipment with a strong technical aptitude.
Well established knowledge of production management, operational safety practices,
procurement, inventory processes and quality standards.
Proficient in the use of an ERP system.
Ability to effectively communicate using the English language in written and verbal form.
Expertise in all Microsoft Office Suite products.
Creative problem solver who is capable of being flexible and working under pressure.
Able to create accountability and lead by example.
Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills with the willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Legally authorized to work in the US and successfully pass a complete background check and
drug screening.
