At SMS Equipment , our Operations Manageris responsible for directing and managing the operational activities of the St-Augustin branch. He/she must lead his/her team to increase the branch's overall business level, and implement and promote the branch's policies, orientations and objectives in line with the company's values.
The successful candidate will achieve and maintain a high level of performance in equipment sales, parts and service sales, technical support, customer service, personnel development, workplace safety, contract management, as well as asset, revenue and cost management, in line with budgets. This position is located in St-Augustin.
The shift for this position is 5x2.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operations management and customer service - sales
- Direct and manage the day-to-day operational activities of the branch, in accordance with the direction and objectives established by the management team.
- Plan, organize and direct all branch sales activities for parts, service and equipment (non-mining).
- Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction by effectively communicating to the team the standards required to distribute our products and related services safely and efficiently.
- Prioritize activities that support the efficient delivery of services to all customers, internal and external.
- Ensure the delivery of services (technical and other) to customers in accordance with programs and agreements, company policies and its objectives of cost reduction and image optimization.
- Ensure that branch performance meets corporate standards.
- Work in partnership with the various players in the regional office (sales, HR, administration and finance, technical services, OHS).
Management of financial results, policies and compliance
- Ensure future growth and optimize branch performance in terms of profitability, environmental compliance, cost reduction, work processes, productivity, best practices, human resources management and safety.
- Analyze branch results against objectives, and take appropriate action to improve performance and results.
- Establish a high level of cost management performance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance of all contractual agreements with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support company policies, procedures and regulations.
Human Resources Management, Health and Safety
- Exercise responsible leadership and apply interpersonal best practices to promote positive relationships and teamwork at all organizational levels of the branch.
- Coach, develop and support team members in achieving established objectives.
- Foster a work climate that contributes to effective working relationships between employees.
- Demonstrate leadership in the application of health and safety policies and practices.
Qualifications :
- You have management skills and at least 10 years' experience in a similar position within the industry.
- You demonstrate leadership, organizational skills and business acumen.
- You stand out for your professionalism and dynamism, and you make customer service your priority.
- As a high-level manager, this position requires, in addition to organizational and operational skills, commercial flair, vision and a sense of entrepreneurship.
- You also have experience in personnel management and are comfortable communicating and writing in French and English.
- You must have a technical understanding of the heavy equipment industry, and know how to motivate and build high-performance work teams.
