Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our organization. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, and a focus on process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead all aspects of plant operations, including production, production control, maintenance, safety, and shipping and receiving.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives and new product development.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Recruit, develop, and supervise a team of plant employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Monitor staffing requirements and adjust headcount as needed.
- Develop and manage capacity plans to meet the projected forecast for the near and long-term needs.
- Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of plant operations, including assembly processes and quality control procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge to understand the functioning of plant equipment.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record in process improvement initiatives.
- Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
- Familiarity with business and financial principles.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Ten 10 years of progressive operational experience (5 years in a supervisory role).
