Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Operations Manager role is to provide operational support and direction to Distribution Center Managers. The Operations Manager will provide leadership to Distribution Centers within each respective district and provide support to all other Distribution Centers. This position is accountable for the Profit & Loss for all Distribution Centers within respective district and contributes to the overall profits of the company.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage annual Distribution Centers budgets to ensure profitability at all locations
- Coordinate District Branches in procedures regarding administration, marketing, sales, inventory control, customer service and warehousing
- Develop Daily Operational Plan for Distribution Centers and assist Distribution Center Manager and Warehouse Manager with operational issues as needed
- Conduct Branch audits to ensure compliance of company policies and to maintain inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Develop relationships with TMs and customers to insure customer satisfaction
- Identify prospective/future customers through store or phone sales and communicate prospects to sales team (Territory Managers or Account Executives) and participate in sales calls
- Develop long term business relationships with our customers to help promote sales growth and gain acceptance
- Negotiate with vendors, brokers and other service providers to ensure best rates and value
- Work with Marketing department to develop promotional and incentive programs
- Work with sales staff to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining acceptable profit margins
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns and identify future opportunities
- Work with Inventory Group to determine inventory overages and shortages and make proper adjustments as needed
- Oversee Physical Inventory processes
- In conjunction with G&A group, responsible for internal audit reports and addressing any issues
- Identify opportunities to streamline warranty processes
- Supply Credit department with customer information to aid collections
- Coordinate technical training for distribution center staff
- Serve as a technical recourse for Distribution Center personnel
- Ensure all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs are met at each distribution center
- Work with other departmental heads to build a unified image to customers
- Participate in On Call schedule and after hours training
- Work cooperatively with others
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Maintain regular, punctual and reliable physical attendance
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; lay on the floor; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee may work in environments as cold as 20 degrees or as hot as 105 degrees. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years experience as a Distribution Center Manager, or equal experience
- 5-7 years HVAC experience
- 5-7 years management experience
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office
- Experience with SAP H4/HANA, a plus
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Possess a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies
- Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policy
Travel:
Up to 50% travel to branches and other operating companies requiring some overnight stay, travel to industry related conferences and training requiring some extended stay. Participate in On Call Schedule and after-hours training
