Summary of position
Responsible for conducting all types of maintenance throughout the facility. The maintenance completed will generally be equipment based, but at times will be facility maintenance. The technician is directly responsible for executing preventive maintenance plans and ensuring equipment has optimal uptime and timely repairs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute and document preventive maintenance plans
- Maintain mechanic room in an organized manner
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedules
- Train line leads on basic troubleshooting of equipment
- Conduct in-process repairs and document as required
- Review production schedule and adequately plan for changeovers
- Changeover equipment accurately and efficiently
- Conduct cleaning and sanitization in accordance with the SOPs
- Record required information in the ERP
- Conduct all of the responsibilities in accordance with the facility GMP requirements
- Report any quality issues to the quality department, as well as any change in chemicals or products at the facility that require SDSs
- Follow facility GMPs and safety guidelines

Qualifications
- Strong understanding of packaging equipment and mechanical functions
- Good understanding of PLCs
- Equipment integration and line setup
- Competent in MS Office products and computers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to work in teams and interact positively with staff
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to weld various metals
- 5-10 years of mechanical experience minimum
- Trade school preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
