TITLE: Operations Foreman

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must hold at least one technical license?
- Five or more years job-related experience with foreman duties
- Current Driver's License
- Additional specialized or technical training
- Additional criteria as the Board may establish.
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responds to emergencies during and after regular work hours.
- Assesses equipment, materials and labor needed to complete large and/or complex maintenance tasks for the purpose of ensuring that maintenance activities meet district standards and resolve defined issue(s) while reducing wasted resources.
- Evaluating grounds, equipment, materials and labor needed to complete custodial tasks for the purpose of ensuring that custodial activities meet district standards and resolve defined issue(s) while reducing wasted resources.
- Assists in the personnel management of department employees for the purpose of maintaining a productive workforce.
- Coordinates the services and activities of outside contractors as assigned for the purpose of ensuring that contracted work is completed in a safe, effective and timely manner that it meets District t standards and objectives.
- Directs assigned maintenance staff in resolving complex and/or difficult maintenance issues for the purpose of ensuring that District locations are maintained in a safe and effective working/learning environment.
- Maintains a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and complying with regulatory requirements and established guidelines. Acquires 3 quotes as needed.
- Drives assigned vehicle and has it serviced; ensures that vehicle is reported and delivered for scheduled maintenance and safety inspections. Reports needed repairs to Supervisor immediately.
- Performs duties that ensure maintenance issues are resolved and projects are completed in a safe, effective and timely manner.
- Reports accidents immediately.
- Washes vehicles as required.
- Follows all policies and procedures.
- Uses safe working techniques, corrects and/or reports unsafe working conditions.
- Reports job-related injuries within 48 hours of work accident to the immediate supervisor. "Job-related injuries" include, but are not limited to, any accident or illness, which involves loss of consciousness, restriction of work or motion, or medical treatment.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Facilities and Operations.
