Summary
Perdue AgriBusiness has openings for our Operations Crew Lead at our Edible Oil Refinery position in Salisbury, MD. This position will be responsible for processing operation oversight and to ensure associate safety and compliance at all times.
This position is a full-time, benefit eligible position with competitive pay.
This position requires 12-hour rotational shifts with Growth Potential.
The working schedule allows you to work 14-days per month including two weekends.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the facility manager in managing the operations
- Ensure working conditions for all associates are in compliance with the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies
- Assist the facility manager in coordinating and directing the daily activities of crews and teams for soy crushing functions
- Train, develop, and follow up to ensure team members are able to perform required operational tasks
- Cover positions when, and wherever needed, to avoid any undue hardship on other associates
- Daily production reporting
- Perform job within established CGMP’s
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Minimum Education
High school or equivalent, further education preferred
Experience Requirements
- 2-3 years of Loadout, Receiving and Refinery logistics operations
- Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
- Knowledge of safety programs and requirements
- Knowledge of environmental programs and requirements
- Understanding of standard software applications
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Basic leadership skills
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Able to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150')
- Walking on elevated bar-grating platforms
- Carrying tools and equipment (0 -50 lbs)
- Exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 degree Fahrenheit)
- Humidity (0 - 100%)
- Noise (50db to 100db)
- Chemical (MSDS sheets available)
- Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus
