Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a motivated Communications Engineer (Project Manager) to join our team on-site in Washington, DC., providing information management and information technology (IT) support for critical technical work to operate and maintain the classified networks for executive-level government leaders.
Our unique program delivers high-profile, technical infrastructure support for our customer and its relative nodes over the world. The team provides Personnel Management, Systems Engineering and administration, Software Engineering (SharePoint Development and Project Management/Systems Integration support), and Facility Management (Voice/Video Network Integration and Engineering) solutions.
The Communications Engineer (Project Manager) will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Serves as a telecommunications specialist of secure/non-secure voice, video, and data systems, (including all ancillary equipment) that supports the customer and staff.
  • Primarily responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading the installation, operation and maintenance of secure voice communications links between the United States and other nations.
  • Development, implementation, and integration of acquisition and transition initiatives for the secure voice, switching, transmission, timing and synchronization, and network monitoring management subsystems; planning and implementation of logistics support, software controls, and life cycle management.

**This role requires 100% on-site support M-F**
**All contractor personnel supporting this program are considered mission essential, emergency mission essential and weather emergency essential**
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • An Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or Mathematics with eight (8) - 10 years of relevant experience; Masters degree with six (6) - eight (8) years of relevant experience; PhD with three (3) - five (5) years of relevant experience; High-school Diploma/GED with 12 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of five (5+) years of specialized knowledge in one or more aspects of the telecommunications, inter-networking, data network, and CTI/VVID fields and may have specialized knowledge in one or more of the following areas: routing and switching infrastructures, transport technologies, network management, IP telephony integration, advanced network security, ISP/ dial-up, and SNA/IP migration-for CTI/VVID converged networks
  • A current/valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification

Desired Qualifications:
  • CCNP Enterprise or Collaboration is highly desired

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
