Brief Job Description: As an Operational Test Suitability Analyst for our nation's next-generation Bomber aircraft program, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding national security by ensuring the integrity and robustness of this essential program. You will be at the forefront of a challenging and rewarding journey from Edwards Air Force Base, California.
Responsibilities:
- Provide critical support in safeguarding our nation's security
- Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals with a shared commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction
- Continue to enhance and refine your analytical skills
- Contribute to the development of operational suitability test plans, reports, and supporting documents
- Assist the Test Director in delivering high-quality analysis throughout various test phases.
- Participate in all aspects of test design and planning, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of the system under test, AFOTEC test policies, and test range capabilities
- Attend meetings and conferences as needed
- Engage in approximately 10-20% CONUS travel to government and contractor facilities across the country, representing the government T&E team in interactions with program offices, contractors, laboratories, Federally-Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), and academic organizations.
Required Skills & Experiences:
- Bachelor's of Science Degree and/or 8 years of experience in a like discipline
- 6+ years of practical knowledge of military aircraft systems and related fields such as flight controls, avionics and other electrical subsystems, Low Observables systems design, manufacturing, and maintenance, propulsion systems, aircrew and human machine interfaces, radar fundamentals and advanced electromagnetics theory, combat mission planning and weapons employment, and adversary threat capabilities.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Expertise in developing airlift, fighter, or bomber aircraft maintenance specific data collection, data processing, data evaluation and data reporting.
- Proficient with analysis of information from USAFs Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) or Maintenance Systems for Mobility (G081)
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products
Preferred Skills & Experiences:
- Master’s degree in a like discipline and/or 8 to 12 years of experience in military aircraft systems
- In-depth understanding of national security implications of the next-generation Bomber aircraft program
