The impact you will have in this role:
Being a member of the Risk Tolerance and Emerging Risk Team, you will establish protocols for analyzing, reporting, raising, and mitigating risks. The primary functions of this role will include active engagement in the implementation, maturation and ongoing activities regarding DTCCs Emerging risk framework, coordination of monthly scorecards and reporting and supporting the Risk Tolerance process including, but not limited to, collection and reconciliation of risk metrics across all DTCC risk families.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners. Partner with other internal stakeholders on Operational Risk activities. Participate in discussions with internal and external customers to plan and execute on process enhancements.
  • Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills, active engagement in meetings and thought leadership. Provide guidance to internal partners on processes and address issues and inquiries timely.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives. Lead the design and implementation of Operational Risk Management frameworks and manage project tasks effectively.
  • Produce and maintain reporting and metrics for both internal and external stakeholders. Analyze and present data and information to senior leadership within the team and with other departments. Recommend suggestions for improvements.
  • Demonstrate and apply a detailed understanding of risk management processes, technology tools and activities, with specific focus on key Operational risks and be responsible for collaborating with other teams to deliver solutions.
  • Viewed as a subject matter authority. Provides training and guidance to more junior staff.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:
  • Knowledge of financial services, clearing corporations/depository function, brokerage operations, and associated regulatory requirements a plus
  • Familiarity with risk management, strategic planning, or scenario planning concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, executive presentation skills
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter.
  • Ability to adapt to a wide range of stakeholder work styles and leverage different approaches to achieving desired outcomes.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Our Risk Management teams work to protect the safety and soundness of our systems and are responsible for identifying, managing, measuring and mitigating a spectrum of key risk types including credit, market, liquidity, systemic, operational and technology in all existing and new products, activities, processes and systems.
