The VP, Operational Risk – Scenario Analysis, will lead the development and execution of a Business Line Scenario Analysis program, in line with Basel Committee for Banking Supervision Principles for Sound Management of Operational Risk. Develop program framework, methodology, documentation standards, deliver training to the First Line of Defense (FLOD), oversee execution by FLOD to ensure compliance with framework/methodology. The role holder will also contribute to the development and execution of an Operational Risk internal stress testing program in partnership with Global Treasury Risk Management.
The role will report to the Managing Director, Head of Operational Risk Capital and Stress Testing, and Scenario Analysis. This role sits within the Operational Risk Foundational Programs team. This team is part of the second line of defense within Enterprise Risk Management.
The role is global in nature and will require excellent communication, negotiation and partnership skills in order to influence a wide variety of stakeholders.
What you will be responsible for
- Engage with stakeholders within Risk and across business segments to mature the firm’s Operational RiskScenario Analysis Framework
- Lead global Scenario Analysis by collecting relevant internal / external data, managing specific scenario user tools, facilitating scenario workshops, producing quantification results and developing presentations to represent outcomes.
- Develop training strategy and related materials to support the Scenario Analysis program
- Design and deliver reports which clearly communicate outcomes of the Scenario Analysis program for a variety of audiences including the Board & Senior Management.
- Ensure frameworks, methodologies, policies, processes, reporting are in line with regulatory expectations and industry standards.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders globally across the First & Second lines of defense to ensure clear allocation of responsibilities for their role in Scenario Analysis.
- Contribute to other team priorities, including but not limited to the annual CCAR stress test and internal stress testing program.

Education and Preferred Qualifications
- Equivalent to a university degree in finance, business, accounting or related field; advanced degrees and professional certifications valued
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in financial services; Operational Risk / Finance focus preferred
- Prior experience with Scenario Analysis, stress testing, Operational Risk events, regulatory reporting and Operational Risk capital
Salary Range:
- $100,000 - $167,500 Annual
