Pay Rate: Range $2000 to $2270 weekly Gross pay (Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit: Med Surg Units
Shift:12 Hours; Days, 7a-7.30p
Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed, any 3 shifts per week as scheduled by the facility. On-call every 6th weekend.
Position Requirements:
- Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
- Operating Room Nursing experience: Recent/Current 2 years – Required
- Epic experience – Highly preferred
- Prior Travel Nursing experience – Highly preferred
- Covid Vaccination – Required
Education, License and Certification Requirements:
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
- RN License for State of MI - Required
- BLS Certifications from AHA - Required
Job Description:
- Provide all aspects of Nursing care for patients in Operating Room.
- Be an essential part of delivering outstanding patient-centered care. Surgical services nurses play important roles in coordinating surgeries and maintaining patient safety.
- The nurse ensures that a patient is prepared to enter surgery, and assess the patient’s condition during and after the procedure.
- Surgical services nurses are often responsible for leading a team inside the Operating Room, helping make efficient use of time and resources.
- The Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients using the nursing process. This includes ongoing assessment of the total patient.
- The RN provides interventions to treat the presenting symptoms and evaluates the effect of nursing interventions and patient's responses.
- The RN functions as a team leader/member and resource to others. The RN delegates, oversees and provides direction to support staff.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to establish goals and outcomes for each patient.
- The RN is responsible for meeting the needs of all types of patients in the assigned units or departments.
