Summary/General Responsibilities:
Experienced Drafter/CAD Operator performing technical drafting support for assigned Projects. Performs work as assigned from sketches, verbal instructions, and notes. Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) using CADD software programs and according to established standards and procedures. Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings and completes simple calculations with specific instructions. Has a working knowledge of engineering technology in a specific field.

- Ability to work independently or with minimal instruction.
- Understands and follows the company's standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
- Create and maintain designs, layouts, drawings, and documentation
- Maintains schedules and offers progress updates.
- Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings and completes simple calculations with specific instructions.

- Strong communication skills / Maintain proper control over drawing revision levels
- Ability to contribute and work well with others.
- Have Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Responsible for planning and conducting a complete project with diverse designs.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- Work is performed under the guidance and direction of and reviewed by a Professional Engineer.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of MicroStation OpenRoads and AutoCAD, (Civil 3D is a plus)
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree in graphic or drafting technology preferred.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
