With an eye toward the future, we are expanding into the developer ecosystem and are seeking a passionate and experienced Open-Source Developer Advocate to lead our efforts in the realm of artificial intelligence. This pivotal role will involve bridging the gap between our cutting-edge semiconductor technology and the open-source AI community, developing unique use cases on the edge. The AI Open-Source Developer Advocate will play a crucial role in fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and promoting our AI developer programs within the open-source community.
Responsibilities:
-AI Expertise: The ideal candidate must possess a deep understanding of artificial intelligence, including machine learning, deep learning, and related technologies. They should have hands-on experience in developing AI solutions and be well-versed in AI frameworks and libraries.
-Open-Source Community Experience: Demonstrated experience in actively participating and contributing to open-source AI projects and communities is essential. The candidate should have a strong network within the open-source AI community, including involvement in relevant forums, conferences, and online platforms.
-Developer Advocacy: Proven track record in developer advocacy, community engagement, and evangelizing technology to developers. The candidate should be able to articulate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
-Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial. The candidate should be able to create compelling content, including blog posts, documentation, and presentations, to engage with the developer community and showcase Qualcomm's AI offerings.
-Project Management: Proficiency in managing developer programs, including hackathons, workshops, and community events. The candidate should have experience in organizing and executing AI-focused developer initiatives.
-Collaborative Spirit: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and marketing professionals, to align AI developer initiatives with Qualcomm's business goals.
-Passion for Technology: A deep passion for AI and technology, along with a strong desire to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Pay range:
$148,500.00 - $222,500.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
