Job Summary:
The TRUE Center for Gender Diversity is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our multidisciplinary care team. TRUE clinical providers support gender diverse youth and their families as they navigate the safe exploration of gender identity and define their treatment goals. We work closely with behavioral health colleagues in the care of these families, and provide education, evidence-based medical care and follow-up to children, adolescents, and young adults. Clinicians can discuss and provide medical and non-medical gender affirming care options. Medical education is available to build provider competency and expertise in gender affirming care treatments, including puberty delaying medications and gender affirming hormone therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consultative care for transgender and gender diverse children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Administer injections.
- Interpret and respond to behavioral health assessments.
- Work on a multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in TRUE Center daytime on-call rotation.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
This is an Open Rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Instructor
- A minimum of 2 years of independent clinical experience (excluding school/training) with children and adolescents.
- Nurse Practitioner (FNP or PNP) or Physician Assistant license.
- Prescriptive authority and current DEA license.
- Experience working with LGBTQ youth in a clinical setting.
Senior Instructor
- At least five (5) years of independent clinical experience (excluding school/training) working with children and adolescents at the Instructor or Senior Instructor rank within an academic institution.
- Nurse Practitioner (FNP or PNP) or Physician Assistant license.
- Prescriptive authority and current DEA license.
- Experience working with LGBTQ youth in a clinical setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) or more years of experience supporting LGBTQ youth in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated clinical experience working with vulnerable populations.
- Demonstrated clinical experience with reproductive health.
- Demonstrated experience with screening for, treatment of, and prevention of sexually transmitted infections.
- Spanish speaking.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of the complexity of caring for LGBTQ youth.
- Commitment to continuing education related to standards of gender affirming care and care of children and adolescents.
- Ability to teach and supervise trainees.
- Familiar with delivery of confidential services surrounding sensitive topics such as physical and behavioral health, sexual health, and other related topics.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
- Instructor: $103,000 to $111,000
- Sr. Instructor: $113,000 to $123,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
