Position Description

The University of Washington Department of Dermatology is currently recruiting 5 part-time or full-time Open Rank Clinical FacultyMedical Dermatology. Our Department includes 35 paid faculty members across 6 different clinical sites (Roosevelt, Harborview, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, South Lake Union, Eastside Specialty Center, VA Puget Sound) and over 30 staff members. This position has the potential to be full or part-time and will be based at one or more of the following University of Washington Dermatology clinical sites, Roosevelt, South Lake Union, or Eastside Specialty Center. This position will hold an annual appointment that aligns with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The successful applicant will be expected to have primarily outpatient dermatology clinical responsibilities, and engage in teaching medical students and resident trainees. Estimated start would be December 2023.

The base salary range for this position will be $25,834-$31,667 monthly commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.

Applicants must have an MD (or foreign equivalent) and Board Eligibility or Certification (or foreign equivalent) in Dermatology. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S,) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
