Position Summary Information
Job Goal

Responsible for the development, coordination, and instruction of Industrial Maintenance as defined by NICC.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Must meet minimum experience and education requirements specified by Northeast Iowa Community College and meet the credentialing requirements of the Northeast Iowa Community College Quality Faculty Plan

Experience: Must possess at least 3 years (6,000 hours) of recent and relevant work experience in Industrial Maintenance. Qualified candidates will have experience with Industrial Maintenance processes including: Hydraulics, Fabrication, Electrical, PLC's, Pneumatics, Mechanical and Rigging.

Duties and Responsibilities

Position Summary: Responsible for the development, coordination, and instruction of Industrial Maintenance as defined by NICC. Conduct and/or coordinate the training for all technical courses as outlined in the program's educational plan and be qualified to perform all instructional aspects required for the program. Evaluate and report student performance and progress in all assigned courses in accordance with NICC policies and procedures. Must possess the skills to establish workforce partnerships, analyze program training needs, identify workforce trends. Monitor program assessment in a manner consistent with NICC's AQIP (Academic Quality Improvement Program) strategies.

Perform duties as assigned by supervisor
Represent the college in a professional, positive manner
Possess the ability to communicate orally and in writing
Possess the ability to work with personalities of diverse backgrounds in the classroom
Possess the ability to demonstrate respect for and sensitivity to a diverse student population
Teach courses in accordance with objectives of the course outlined as set forth by the department
Keep accurate inventories of all equipment and supplies
As an NICC employee, support the college mission and maintain conduct in a positive/professional manner which comports with NICC policies and procedures
Familiarity with various testing meters and how they are used
Familiarity with Amatrol trainers desired.

Terms of Employment: Must be available to work flexible days when the lab is open.
