Job Description:
As a Part-Time Shipping Clerk at Wessel-Werk USA you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate shipment of products to our online customers. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to efficiency will contribute to the overall success of our operations.
Estimated time: 5 hours/day; 4 days/week; Monday-Thursday 10-2.
Responsibilities:
Order Processing - Accurately process incoming customer orders and prepare them for shipment. Verify order accuracy, product quality, and quantity before packaging.
Packaging and Labeling - Safely and efficiently package products according to company standards. Apply appropriate shipping labels and ensure packages are ready for courier pickup.
Inventory Management - Assist in maintaining organized and well-stocked inventory areas. Report any discrepancies or shortages.
Quality Control - Conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards. Identify and report any damaged or defective items.
Shipping Coordination - Maintain accurate records of shipments, tracking information, and delivery dates.
Communication - Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding order status and potential issues. Collaborate with other departments to address any concerns.
Requirements:
Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory management.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to lift and move small packages of varying sizes (up to 14 pounds).
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Flexibility to work part-time hours based on the company's operational needs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 22 per week
