Form of workAdvanced College stresses the importance of tutoring to helpfoster learning independence. To be successful in this role, applicantshould be familiar with tutoring methodology and be passionate in working withgraduate and non-graduate students. Tutoring sessions will be via ZoomOnline Learning.
Academic and Clinical Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse
- BSN or higher degree
- 5+ years current clinical nursing experience required
- Previous teaching/training experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Weekday and weekend availability preferred
- Subject matter in medical/surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, mental health, nutrition, leadership, test taking strategies and NCLEX preparation
- Maintain high energy level and ability to engage students
- Effectively facilitate learning and learner development
- Facilitate active and ongoing online classroom management
- Engage students with NCLEX style test-taking skills
- Report to the Executive Director of Nursing
- Strong computer skills, proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
- Familiar with online platforms
