Primary Purpose
To provide effective online and blended learning leadership, professional development, technical assistance, and other related products and services for campuses, districts, and charter schools that will ensure improved student academic achievement. Consult internal personnel on online and blended learning course design and development.

Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, or instructional technology or equivalent, required
- Texas teacher certificate, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Team-oriented attitude and desire to work collaboratively
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of web design
- Knowledge of research methodologies and techniques; processes, standards for planning and implementing instructional design and development; and instructional technology and non-technology media and materials development and implementation principles
- Knowledge of learning theory, instructional strategies, curriculum standards, and assessments
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and eLearning authoring software
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for web-based content
Experience:
- Two (2) years of related training and course development experience
- Experience with proprietary learning technology solutions
- Experience with learning management systems
- Online teaching and/or instructional design, preferred
- Two (2) years of teaching experience, preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Actively participate in inter-departmental teams to help improve student performance in the region, to improve the ESC’s internal operations, and to meet the established goals and objectives of the ESC
- Support instructional design projects from inception to completion
- Provide instructional design and course development support to team lead
- Assist in the development of instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies, and best practices
- Develop and maintain online training curriculum
- Develop and maintain online instructor resources
- Perform online course reviews
- Facilitate, schedule, and coordinate online instructor training
- Provide blended and online instructor training to in-house consultants and ESC Region 11 district personnel
- Provide online instructor training to in-house consultants and ESC Region 11 district personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors)
Mental: Public relations and people skills are required at all times, work with frequent interruptions, and professional composure under stress.
Physical: Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Prolonged use of computers.
Environmental: This job is an entirely remote position. The work and deliverables will drive the amount of work. The individual may be required to come to the office on occasion and should reside within driving distance of the office location.
