Job Summary
This role will be onsite at the Welcome Center in our Human Resources offices at Bridgewater Place providing an excellent onboarding experience to our new hires Monday through Friday with one late shift ending at 7 pm per week.
Responsible for guiding new hires through their first weeks of employment within the organization. Facilitates the transition and assimilation to the department and creates a supportive onboarding environment that provides positive team member experience, engagement and retention.
Essential Functions
- Partners with recruitment team to schedule a pre-arrival welcome appointment for recently-hired employees, providers, executives and/or contracted employees
- Initiates independent problem solving and follow-up with recruiters or leadership as needed. Act as a liaison for key stakeholders (i.e Business counterparts, Finance, IS, Facilities, Employee Health Services) to ensure seamless integration
- Verifies candidate information including background checks, employee health, license and certifications and finger prints. Ensures completion of reporting in an accurate and timely manner. Reviews new hire onboarding survey for process improvement opportunities and follow up communication
- Implements the team member onboarding vision and strategy by focusing on an inclusive and positive experience through the initiation of pre-onboarding activities (i.e. provisioning, logistics, organizational) to facilitate exceptional onboarding and seamless transitions (i.e., orientation and post onboarding follow-up activities)
- Ensures that processes and services are continuously monitored for quality, cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Engages in process and quality improvement activities. Maintains and orders supplies for overall onboarding and orientation operations. Processes outside vendor invoices and reimbursements. Actively seeks outside direct-billable accounts with a focus on convenience, quality of services, and effective use of budget.
- Supports the people solutions center in tier 2 escalation of phone calls, emails and/or case management. Support Onboarding policy / process and maintain the knowledge management system, ensuring all content is relevant and up-to-date
- Invests time building strong working relationships with internal clients in order to further support and prepare new team members to acclimate to the new working environment
Qualifications
- Preferred Associate's Degree or equivalent Human Resources, Project Management, Business Administration, Communications, or Related Field
- 2 years of relevant experience Call Center, customer service, patient care, administrative support, project management or related customer facing experience Required
