On-Call Event Support

Humble Spirit is a wine country restaurant and catering business sharing food with heart in historic downtown McMinnville, Oregon. Job Summary:

Our Event Support staff are an essential part of ensuring that our guest experience is a memorable one by providing exceptional service to all of our guests. Your responsibilities will include set-up and tear down of events, assisting servers with food/beverage service, bussing tables, assist with running food and side-work tasks (preparation/reset). Candidates must have a friendly and professional demeanor, work well on a team, and be comfortable on their feet for several hours at a time.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks to support event execution
• Support servers in table maintenance and food/beverage service
• Assist servers with refilling beverages, restocking, and replenishing
• Set tables with chinaware, glass, silver and linens
• Clears tables as necessary, sets up buffets as needed
• Follow up on guests requests immediately or asks for assistance from one of the supervisors
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Any other duties as assigned
• Ensures safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Reliable transportation preferred
• Must be able to carry serving trays
• Excellent customer service skills
• Team player
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment

Education and Experience:

• Prior experience or training preferred
• Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)

Compensation: $17/hr+ DOE
