SET THE COURSE
The DMM oversees the divisional business strategy of the US OMNI DTG business, including product selection, assortment architecture and planning, and pricing and promotion for Tommy Bahama Men's sportswear, swim and accessories. These long and short term divisional and category product strategies will grow the brand through our Design vision while delivering best-in-class sales, return on investment, and profitability results across our direct-to-guest full price and online stores. This leader will guide our Merchandising and cross functional teams in anticipating consumer demand and ensuring the delivery of products that exceed expectations and guarantee growth. A successful DMM will develop and implement a customer centric strategy that combines pre-season and in-season analysis, driving appropriate responses to sales trend and the ability to maximize business.
BE THE ISLAND GUIDE
  • Create Men's divisional and category long range plans and seasonal Line Plans that, together, deliver a product strategy that meets KPIs including topline sales, gross and net margins, and inventory productivity goals across all direct-to-guest channels.
  • Deliver and execute divisional product assortment and buying strategies for our online store. Build and leverage key partnerships across the Digital and Marketing teams to ensure a cohesive, dynamic, and productive online brand expression and eCommerce business.
  • Drive Men's pricing architecture for all product categories, including competitive and market price benchmarking, good/better/best analyses, and cost-sensitive product development.
  • "Student of the Market & Voice of the Guest" Bring deep knowledge and nuanced understanding of our target customer through consumer insights, end-use & market segmentation, regional & climate business needs, together with market data, including SEO, product reviews, and focus group feedback, to all milestone touchpoints.
  • Communicate divisional sales performance and competitive market analyses through weekly, monthly and seasonal hindsight processes to identify go-forward business trends, opportunities and risks. Unlock new business strategies through these learnings.
  • Manage key driver analytics to determine product sunset/re-launch opportunities; identify category expansion ideas and test new products for viability.
  • Lead and manage Men's DTG Merchandising team. Develop business and product acumen to ensure they are equipped to approve buys; business operations including validation of product path to KPI objectives, Line Plan development and adherence, open to buy, and markdown management. Demonstrate and coach influencing and indirect leadership skills.
  • Create and leverage strong cross-functional partnerships with:
  • Design and Sourcing/Product Development, throughout the development milestones to ensure divisional line plan adherence, guide resource investment, and deliver cost and speed-to-market goals.
  • International buying, Wholesale Merchandising, and Digital/Site Merchandising to ensure global and OMNI business needs are incorporated into the global divisional line plan, with a special focus on online messaging and execution.
  • Merchandise Planning and Allocation regarding pre-season divisional seasonal investment and distribution strategy, future season projections, big idea protection, growth driver maximization, and seasonal buy approvals to deliver financial KPIs. In-season partnership includes divisional open-to-buy and receipt reconciliation, balancing carryover/basics inventory against business trend to maximize sales to stock, pricing promotions and markdowns, and pull backs/re-allocation management.
  • Store Leadership and Wholesale Merchandising to incorporate customer and retailer feedback into line plans and future development.
  • Visual Merchandising and Store Design, to understand store capacity and deliver on in-store execution of the bought lines.
  • Store Ops, as needed, to create applicable training and communication to deliver in-store product knowledge.
  • Bring Brand Values to life every day.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Meet operating budget and report expenses in a timely manner.
  • Flexible for other duties as needed to help support the overall business.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years retail merchandising experience in a direct-to-guest, fast growth, geographically diverse, OMNI-channel company, with 3+ years of leadership
  • 5-7 years apparel buying
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • World class strategic and product acumen
  • Proven direct management experience and leadership skills, with demonstrated team building / development experience.
  • Proven organizational skills; detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
  • Exceptional problem solving/decision making skills.
  • Keen eye for fashion / trend analysis
  • Budgeting, inventory turn, gross margin experience.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office)
  • Proven product P&L Management preferred.
  • Experience in developing systems/processes to reduce cost and maximize return-on-investment preferred.
  • Proficiency in merchandise replenishment software / systems (STS) preferred

Rate Range: $137,497.50 to $250,000 per year
Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual's experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.
