Job description

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the incumbent is responsible for performing various functions to support and assist the Procurement Services and Support (PSS) unit. The incumbent is required to be proficient in Microsoft Word.

This position is headquartered at the Sacramento location and is eligible for either a remote-based or office-based telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as needed. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires employee residence in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: “telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.

Working Conditions

  • Schedule: Employee’s routine work schedule shall be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. while OT is on probation. After probation, OT may not begin earlier than 7:30 a.m., or after 8:30 a.m., and cannot end later than 5:30 p.m. OT will be permitted to telework up to three days a week.
  • Travel: Travel is generally not expected.
  • Other: Employee will be given a digital phone number through Microsoft Teams.
