Job Summary: The Office Security Guard plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our office premises and its occupants. This position requires a vigilant and proactive individual who will monitor access, respond to security incidents, and enforce security protocols. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Access Control: 

  • Monitor and control access to the office premises, verifying the identity of employees, visitors, and contractors. 

  • Ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted areas. 

• Surveillance: 

  • Conduct regular patrols of the office premises to deter and detect security threats. 

  • Monitor security cameras and alarms to promptly respond to any suspicious activities or breaches. 

• Emergency Response: 

  • Act quickly and effectively in response to security incidents, emergencies, or fire alarms. 

  • Contact emergency services as required and assist in evacuations if necessary. 

• Visitor Management: 

  • Greet and assist visitors with professionalism and courtesy. 

  • Register visitors and maintain a log of their entry and exit times. 

• Security Reports: 

  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities in a clear and concise manner. 

• Enforcement of Policies: 

  • Ensure that employees and visitors adhere to Office Security policies and procedures. 

  • Provide guidance and reminders regarding security protocols. 

• Equipment Maintenance: 

  • Regularly inspect, maintain, and report any issues with security equipment, such as access control systems, cameras, and alarms. 

• First Aid and CPR: 

  • Possess knowledge of basic first aid and CPR for immediate response to medical emergencies is preferred.  

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent. 

• Prior experience in security or a related field is preferred. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions. 

• Knowledge of security equipment and access control systems. 

• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is an asset. 

• Must be physically fit and able to perform security patrols and respond to emergencies. 

Additional Requirements: 

• Valid Security Guard license 

• Driver’s License 

• Reliable transportation to and from the workplace. 

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed. 

• A clean criminal background check. 

Working Conditions: 

The Office Security Guard may be required to work indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions, and in situations that demand physical stamina and mental alertness. They will often stand or walk for extended periods.
