Job description

PCSI is looking for an Office Secretary Clerk for the dining facility team at Fort Stewart!

This opportunity is part of an upcoming future contract on Fort Stewart in Hinesville, GA, pending start.

What You'll Do as Office Secretary Clerk:

  • Adhere to the procedures outlines by the contract’s Office Manager.
  • Perform general clerical duties and computer related tasks using Microsoft suite.
  • Assist in processing documents and material as assigned.
  • Verify discrepancies and make corrections.
  • Process documents to update and maintain employee files and records.
  • Receive, sort and file all data received from employees and staff.
  • Handle employee and customer calls and inquiries.
  • Process and distribute confidential and sensitive documents.
  • Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner, and route call to the appropriate staff member.
  • Issue payroll checks to employees and disburse information requested.
  • Maintain office equipment and keep work area neat and clean.
  • Perform research and a variety of special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the company and a favorable image of PCSI.
  • Follow company guidelines and procedures.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5 years of prior experience in a clerical position or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of general office work such as filing and records keeping.
  • Knowledge of multi-line phone system techniques and telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to follow instructions and make independent decisions, and to accept constructive criticism.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, contract officials, and general public.
  • Ability to multi-task or go back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information without becoming confused.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
  • Must have dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard.
  • Hearing and speaking efficient to exchange information in person or over the telephone is required.
  • Specific vision abilities are required by this job such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust to focus.
  • Ability to climb, bend, squat, push, lift and carry objects up to 10 pounds. Occasionally up to 20 pounds.
  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
