Office Nurse/ Medical Assistant

Office Nurse:
RN / LPN / LVN / MA Description Under the direction of the Practice Administrator, and the general supervision of the Office Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for performing direct patient care activities and working in an interdisciplinary team. Performs delegated functions and appropriate nursing tasks in concert with the attending physician. Communicates with physicians and team members about patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in Patient condition or response to treatment. The LPN/LVN maintains accountability for his/her own nursing knowledge and skills in accordance with policy and procedure and the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the practice.

Qualifications
A. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
B. Current Licensure in Louisiana as a Licensed Practical Nurse
C. Previous experience in a Family Practice or General Medical Clinic preferred
