Twin Oaks Nursing Home, a long-term care skilled nursing facility, is seeking an experienced office assistant to the facility administrator. Long-term care, Medical Billing, Medicaid application processing and insurance verification is highly preferred. This person will work with residents and families to process Medicaid applications and will keep up with all Medicaid applications and approval processes, 148 changes, paperwork, insurance verifications, entering newly admitted residents into the system, process status changes in the system and collect all resident liability, insurance co-payments and private pay, plus other duties as assigned by the facility administrator.
Applicant must be willing to participate in monthly Accounts Receivable meetings, daily dept. head discussions, collaborate with outside billing to provide additional support or prior auths on claims billed to insurance or contract hospice, assist admissions at times with submitting prior auth, compile and submit clinical and therapy notes to managed care providers to obtain re-auth for skilled residents, communicate well with members of the interdepartmental team, give tours to prospective residents and family members if necessary, and work with Social Services to process continued stay requests with State at times. This is a dynamic role here and prospect must be "self-motivated", "organized" & adaptive to a fast pace environment.
Pay is commensurate to experience.
