Chemcraft Industries is looking for an Office/Customer Service Manager to join our team.
The company is a janitorial supply distributor serving local customers in the Chicagoland area with great products, service, and integrity. This is an in-office position in Chicago.
We are a small family-owned company that has been operating since 1947, soon to be managed by the 3rd generation family owner. We are a small team, and everyone is valued and important!
Starting salary depends on experience, the range is $43,000-$55,000. Eligible for annual raises and yearly bonuses.

Hours available are 7:00am to 4:00pm or 7:30am to 4:30pm.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the efficient and effective planning and organization of the office including the preparation, communication, coordination, and storage of data to support operations. Exercises frequent independent judgment within agreed upon limits. Maintains strictest confidence in working to ensure the owners and manager’s objectives are accomplished. Appears professional at all times in relation to appearance and behavior. Must be dependable and adaptable to the company needs and assisting clients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Establishes priorities and effectively prioritizes workload to meet deadlines
- Greets all visitors and answers customers questions regarding services
- Answers the telephone taking complete and accurate messages
- Answers customer phone calls
- Performs data entry of customer information
- Enters customer orders
- Performs billing function to include AR
- Supports sales staff, management and back of the house staff
- Produces documents with a minimum of error
- Assumes initiative in maintaining and increasing competencies with regard to software tools
- Processes tasks in a timely and accurate manner
- Provides ongoing communication to owner and Manager
- Ensures files are maintained in a systematic and organized manner
- Maintains working relationship with all employees
- Responds appropriately to negativity, seeks to promote understanding and mutual achievement of goals
- Promotes collaboration, nurtures relationships with others and is viewed positively by coworkers
- Seeks opportunities for organizational improvement
- Carries own share of responsibility and willingly offers assistance to others
- Other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
Prior administrative experience working in an office supporting multiple levels of employees.
Computer skills required (excel, office 365, phone system, online banking system). Use of industry software a plus, but we will train if candidate has not had experience with this.
SKILLS & ABILITY:
Bi-lingual Spanish/English is a plus.
Professional work ethic.
Excellent organizational, decision making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Basic math skills required.
Ability to work autonomously with confidence.
Ability to handle multiple tasks continuously.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is sedentary in nature.
Ability to answer telephones and communicate effectively and professionally with all visitors.
Ability to perform fine manipulation (i.e. keyboard).
Must have patience and be willing to constantly learn.
Work frequently produces a high level of mental/visual fatigue, is performed under tight deadlines, and requires attention to detail.
