Job Description
We are a small, family owned and operated company that operates a variety of companies out of a single office including but not limited to property management of commercial real estate. We have worked hard to develop a team atmosphere and have had many successful long term relationships with our employees.
Currently, our company is looking for an individual to join our team long term who has strong bookkeeping, accounting, organizational and administrative skills. This Individual must be self-motivated, task oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed and possess strong Customer Service and Communication Skills (both written and verbal). They must have the flexibility to deal with multiple spontaneous interruptions throughout the day while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy in the daily work.
PREFERRED CRITERIA:
Veteran
5+ years of Managerial Accounting experience
5+ years Business Tax preparation
Mandatory Criteria:
Associate Degree or 5+ years equivalent work experience in a related field
5+ years of QuickBooks experience
5+ years of Bookkeeping & Payroll experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel & Word)
Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are not an exhaustive list of duties but rather an exemplary list of the types of work representative of this position.
· Communicate with the owner on a weekly basis concerning Accounts Payable. DAILY
· Process monthly and individual payments to vendor accounts as directed by the owner.
· Establish and maintains a checklist of regularly scheduled payments and responsibilities.
· Develop and generate regular financial status report for the owner.
· Maintains clear accounting/bookkeeping practices and records.
· Reconcile & balance monthly bank and credit card statements.
· Prepare weekly payroll and insure that the withheld funds are paid on time.
· Manage payroll and contractor tax report filling.
· Performs clerical and other related duties as required.
· Answer phone, direct calls and respond to tenant/vendor requests andquestions.
· Write rental leases as needed and directed. COMPLETE LEASE TEMPLATES FOR NEW TENANTS WHEN NECESSARY
· Filing as needed.
· Perform other assignments as directed.
· Assist in the preparation and billing of end of year taxes.
· Greet and welcome walk in customers and tenants in a warm, friendly and professional manor.
