Office Cleaner & Organizer - Housekeeping Coordinator

$22-$25/hour (Full-Time Days - Hybrid)

LaPlante Electric has a new and exciting opportunity for the right person. This unique role will consist of a hybrid working model where you will clean and maintain the Scarborough office part of the week and travel to clean offsite locations on your own the rest of the week. If you love cleaning, organizing, and working with great people – but also like having the opportunity to work independently, this opportunity will be a great fit for you!

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, trustworthy, and experienced in cleaning and organizing. We would look to you for new ideas on how to optimize space and turn drab corners into efficient work areas. You'll be able to contribute to the growth of our business by spearheading our newly developed cleaning department as our Housekeeping Coordinator.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a full-time role and your week will be split amongst a few different locations. At our Scarborough office, you will be responsible for office inventory, ordering supplies, general office cleaning such as sanitizing surfaces, tidying up clutter, organizing supplies, vacuuming floors, cleaning the kitchen and disinfecting the bathrooms. At our offsite locations, you will be responsible for thorough turnover cleaning of residential properties and organizing a warehouse. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and stock amongst all locations and will have the opportunity to manage your own weekly schedule.

ABOUT YOU:

Our ideal candidate has experience cleaning Airbnb rentals, commercial properties, private homes, and loves to organize and tidy up spaces in general. You're a bit of a clean-freak and a stickler for proper methods of sanitization. You would never clean the kitchen with the same gloves you had on to clean the bathroom and you're not afraid to bring fresh ideas to the table to make work spaces more efficient. Maybe you even have a small cleaning business of your own but are tired of looking for new clients.

Our ideal candidate is also someone who is trustworthy, personable, and works well independently. You will have the opportunity to create your own schedule and manage certain projects throughout the week on your own as we see this role being fluid and flexible. You will be the first person in this newly created position, so having experience in the cleaning industry is a must. You are an open communicator and are able to document and track inventory and cleaning checklists for multiple locations. You are reliable and have your own transportation.
