We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Early Learning Connection Office Associate. This part time position plays a vital role in supporting our mission to provide quality early childhood education resources and services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organization skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Docs, and a passion for early childhood education.
Bilingual skills preferred, but not required.
Essential Functions of Position:
Perform Clerical Duties:
- Accurately perform typing and data entry tasks.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and phone calls.
- Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and sound decision-making abilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and team members to facilitate efficient workflow and accomplish shared goals.
- Foster positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers, other departments, and the public.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Docs:
- Organize and maintain digital and physical files.
- Create and manage spreadsheets to track data.
- Maintain electronic meeting notes using Google Docs.
- Stay updated on relevant technology and office management systems.
Specific Departmental Duties/Projects:
- Prepare workshop materials and provide support to facilitators as needed.
- Manage workshop registration site and assist registrants as required.
- Perform data entry using the Nebraska Early Childhood Professional Records System (NECPRS).
- Handle tasks such as preparing purchase orders, visa orders, registrations, and travel arrangements.
- Monitor and replenish office and training supplies.
- Maintain email list serve lists and ESU10 District Profile as necessary.
- Support the creation and distribution of quarterly newsletters.
- Regular and dependable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Early childhood education or experience preferred.
- Prior experience in office administration or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Docs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
