Position Overview
On behalf of the Bureau of Identification, under supervision, performs a variety of difficult or sensitive clerical work. Tasks directly support the data quality of the state Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) program.
Job Responsibilities
30% 1. Utilizes the Law Enforcement Agency Data System (LEADS), Criminal History Records Information (CHRI) program and other software applications providing missing background check responses to criminal and non-criminal justice agencies.
30 % 2. Utilizing CHRI, audits criminal justice submission returned from the keying vendor for completeness and accuracy.
25% 3. Utilizing CHRI provides data related information and errors to both criminal justice and non-criminal justice agencies.
10% 4. Monitor daily CHRI system activities for systemic concerns or anomalies using established data lists and system generated reports
5% 5. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of high school, and one (1) year of related office experience.
2. Ability to type accurately at 35 wpm.
Preferred Qualifications
1. One (1) year experience using Microsoft Office and other provided software applications.
2. One (1) year experience using LEADS (LTFA).
3. One (1) year experience using the CHRI program.
Conditions of Employment
1. Requires ability to pass a background check, drug test and fingerprinting.

- Provides both State and FBI responses.
- Provides information for daily, weekly and monthly statistical report.
30 % 2. Utilizing CHRI, audits criminal justice submission returned from the keying vendor for completeness and accuracy.
- Audit submissions include arrest fingerprint cards, state attorney's filing decisions, court dispositions, custodial status changes and Uniform Conviction Information Act.
- Provides information gained from the audit in statistical reports to the Quality Assurance supervisor or manager.
25% 3. Utilizing CHRI provides data related information and errors to both criminal justice and non-criminal justice agencies.
- Notification is made by fax or email.
- Performs routine and complex query functions related to criminal history record information (CHRI) by utilizing a variety of CHRI system screen formats and supporting computer applications.
- Data enter corrections to criminal history records.
- Provide SID numbers to criminal justice agencies.
- Assist customers with service-related questions and concerns.
10% 4. Monitor daily CHRI system activities for systemic concerns or anomalies using established data lists and system generated reports
- Process identified lists of transactions with errors or anomalies.
- Receive, log and report on identified lists of transactions for review, correction or completion.
- Maintain work tracking and status logs using provided software applications.
- Notify supervisor/manager of any programmatic concerns or anomalies identified.
