An immediate opening is available for an Office Administrator/Human Resources. We are an established general contracting and remodeling company based out of Peoria, IL. We perform work throughout the state of Illinois, and we're looking to grow!
The ideal candidate would have a positive demeanor, whatever-it-takes attitude and thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere. This individual will work directly with our office manager. Must have exceptional communication skills and a high level of confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Basic bookkeeping skills
- Managing training and employee relations
- Managing benefit packages
- Handling disciplinary action
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Plan meetings and take detailed minutes
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Submit and reconcile expense reports
- Handle HR requests from management
Requirements:
- Strong computer skills needed, specifically Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Proven QuickBooks Desktop experience is a must.
- Able to learn new computer programs quickly.
- Human Resource experience.
- SHRM certification required.
- Excellent attendance.
- An upbeat and positive attitude is required.
- Construction background preferred.
- College degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or HR preferred.
One professional reference required.
